Nathan Bowes - Freshman - Catcher - Sacred Heart University - 6’0 205 Ibs - Tolland, CT

Nathan Bowes is a name you won’t be forgetting anytime soon. The 6’0 205 Ib catcher from Tolland, CT is in the midst of his freshman season at Sacred Heart University and is already turning heads. The Pioneers have gone 2-4 to start their season and while he hasn’t received any game action yet, he’s been catching lots of pens, getting lots of reps in the cage and taking advantage of any opportunity he can to shine when his number is called.

In high school, he shined at Kingswood Oxford School (CT) earning varsity letters in football, basketball, and baseball. During his high school baseball career, he was named to all-conference twice, all-founders league twice, was a two-time All-NEPSAC player, and also won a New England Founders League Player of the Year award. He hit .405 with an on-base-percentage of .543 and also slashed 5 home runs.

At SHU, Bowes is studying business. He chose the school and team because it is close to home, has a beautiful campus, great academics, and an amazing coaching staff. The Pioneers got a gem, and so did we. We can’t wait to see Nathan repping the orange, white, and black this summer.
