Zach Robinson - Freshman - Second Baseman/Shortstop - Gardner-Webb University - 6’0 165 Ib - South Plainfield, NJ

The Runnin’ Bulldogs finest, Zachary Robinson, enters his first season with the Outlaws in 2025 with high expectations for himself. Robinson was an electrifying two-way player all throughout his high school career at South Plainfield High, but really came in to his own during his senior season. He was named to second team all-state, first team all-conference, and also grabbed conference hitter of the year. During that spring, Robinson finished with a .462 AVG (43/93) with 16 extra base hits [9 2B, 4 3B, 3 HR], scored 36 runs, while knocking in 30 runs and stealing 29 bags.

Zach is a management information systems major at Gardner-Webb. The reason in which he chose the school and program was because they were the first southern team to offer him a spot and he always dreamed of attending college down south. Robinson said, “Gardner Webb has a great community, beautiful campus, and you can really grow as a person both physically and spiritually with God here.”

Robinson is not part of the starting cast for the 2025 spring season for Gardner-Webb due to an excess of middle infielders on the roster. He has continued doing off-field work while learning from the veterans in front of him in the mean time. During spring inter-squads, he was spraying the ball around, showcased his speed, and put on a show with the glove up the middle. The effort didn’t go unnoticed and with every college taking the next man up mentality, Robinson’s day to shine will come.

He is a huge gap to gap hitter, and possesses so much speed on the base paths. The PGCBL better take watch, because if you give Robinson the chance to run, he’ll take it no questions asked.
